About me.
I create a sense of belonging by letting the unconscious quietly blend in.Technology is boring when it only solves functions. Culture is where excitement begins.Making things is a form of release. It is proof that I was alive.I use technology to blur the boundary between artwork and the person who sees it.I mix a small amount of poison into whitespace and storytelling.Fixed blueprints clip the wings of my art.I learned what freedom and strength look like by watching my daughter grow.I draw shadows. Light is just a tool for that.Quiet nature gives me calmness and fuels my creativity.I could never create merely to persuade. I am simply not built for rhetoric.Fixed blueprints clip the wings of my art.Technology is boring when it only solves functions. Culture is where excitement begins.I draw shadows. Shinya Abe.
I’m a Tokyo-based developer exploring the balance between interaction and emotionally rich, graphical expression on the web.
Working mainly with GLSL and Three.js, I design experiences where expression and interaction are inseparable.
Moving beyond the web as a framework, I’m interested in expressions that gently connect with space and bodily perception— exploring relationships between people and experiences.
